All questions →
Is the NEPSE data on ShareRocketPro real?

Yes. Every index value, price and volume on this site comes from Share Rocket Pro's NEPSE data platform. While the market is open it refreshes every 30 seconds; after the close it shows the end-of-day figures for the latest trade date. It may be delayed and is for information and learning only. (Paper trades in the app use a separate practice market — see the FAQ.)

What are NEPSE's trading hours?

NEPSE's regular session runs 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM Nepal time, Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays. The status badge at the top of every market page shows whether the exchange is open right now.

What is paper trading?

Paper trading means practising buying and selling with virtual money. In the ShareRocketPro app you start with Rs. 10,000 in practice money and trade every NEPSE-listed share in a practice market whose prices start from real NEPSE prices and move realistically within NEPSE's ±10% circuit — open 24/7. You use stop-losses, targets and a running P&L, so you learn how the market behaves without risking real money. Practice prices are not official NEPSE prices.

Can I lose real money on ShareRocketPro?

Not by trading. Every trade in the app is virtual and settled in practice money, which has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn. The only optional real spend is a practice-money top-up.

Do I need a demat account, broker or KYC?

No. ShareRocketPro does not trade real securities, so there is no demat account, no broker onboarding and no KYC. When you are ready to invest for real, you will need a demat account, a MeroShare login and a licensed NEPSE broker.

What do the heatmap colours and sizes mean?

Each tile is one listed company. Its size is that company's turnover for the session (you can switch to market cap or volume), and its colour is the day's percentage change — deeper green for bigger gains, deeper red for bigger losses, grey for unchanged.
